COPELAND Brand Products Selection Software 7.2 is now available for download. SCOP for “My Heat Pumps” has been updated with a method based on the latest prEN14825 revision. This enables seasonal efficiency values for ground or air source HPs to be calculated at conditions for three typical European regions. Other updates include minimum condensing temperature option for condensing unit annual running cost, and this tool is now extended to network condensing units.

• For R134a medium temperature applications, several updates have been implemented to better suit operating requirements:
• Copeland Scroll ZB from ZB30 to ZB114 have now a larger application range: the 20°C SGRT limit has been raised significantly and the lower condensing limit has been lower to 12°C for optimum seasonal efficiencies
• Additional Discus compressors 4 and 6 cylinders are now released for R134a applications. The qualified envelope is the largest in the industry with possibility to operate as low as 10°C condensing. Each displacement comes in a standard motor version optimised for medium temperature applications and one large motor version for high temperature applications, heat recovery or inverter applications form 25 to 60Hz.
• The Discus 2 and 3 cylinders envelope are also extended down to 20°C.
• Additional Standard compressors are now also released for medium temperature applications with an envelope similar to Discus.
• R407A scrolls have been added for applications requiring low GWP options.
• Additional Digital Scroll models for 10…100% continuous stepless modulation for R404A medium temperature applications have been added and a full range from ZBD21 to ZBD76 is now shown.
• For subcritical low temperature CO2 applications , ZO104 has been added, together with Digital Scroll ZOD104 that provides continuous modulation from 10…100%
• Condensing units with the new range of “Summit Series” compressors have replaced the previous models, and these are now moved to Previous Generation section.
• The frequency range of inverter applications have been added to each semi-hermetic model.
• A sound shell option has been added to all scroll ZB(D) and ZF(D) compressors from 4 to 15hp providing 10 to 12dBA attenuation for sound sensitive applications
• A moulded plug option has been added to ZB scrolls from ZB50 to ZB114 offering to raise the IP rating of the compressor from IP21 to IP66 for industrial, process and agricultural applications.
